As a 2D Animator at Pixelmatic, you’ll be part of our talented art team and tasked with creating attractive artwork for our games. Your main responsibilities will be creating vector art and animating assets. You will have a very keen eye for aesthetics and are driven to create interesting and immersive worlds.

Responsibilities

• Creating vector art assets with Adobe Illustrator based on concept art provided by the team.
• Develop 2D animations.
• Exporting and managing art assets in accordance with production requirements.
• Editing and refining art assets as required.

Requirements

• 2+ years of developing 2D animations or related experience.
• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in art or design.
• Able to independently manage the art assets
• Able to create interesting, emotive and entertaining animations
• Able to create special effects for the animations.
• Able to modify work based on feedback from fellow artists, and producers.
• Able to work within established art styles and follow art direction.
• Expert level knowledge of Adobe Illustrator and Photoshop.
• Experience with After Effects and Premier would be desirable.
• Able to use Toonboom or equivalent software to do the animation.
• Must have an upbeat, positive attitude, and enjoy working as part of a team.
• Strong background in sketching, drawing, illustration, and storyboarding.
• Strong fundamental skills in the use of line, light, shadow, color, and perspective.
• Must have the ability to create cartoon style animations
• Strong graphical design and layout skills.
• Always learning and able to quickly adapt to new situations and challenges.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills in both English and Chinese is a plus.
• Extremely well organized, detail-oriented, and manages time efficiency.
• Familiar with standard office software (mail, spreadsheets, documents, and presentations).
• Passionate and excited to create worlds that inspire and bring happiness to others.
• Results driven, accountable, and able to accept feedback and criticism professionally.
